Future Behind Me
Opening up the set with their hit song, Hatachi No Koi, listening to Lamp was a soothing experience from start to finish. As one audience member put it, "I don't think I have ever heard a band whose live performances are able to sound almost exactly like their studio recordings from 20 years ago". To add to their performance, the vocalist Kaori's birthday coincidentally was a day after the show, which Yusuke announced to the crowd, leading the entire crowd to sing Happy Birthday to Kaori. I believe the band said this is their first time in Denver, but their performance received a mile-high encore!
All three members of the band did a great job of interacting with the crowd though, and classics like Yume Utsutsu and Hisoyakani were well received by everyone in attendance. While this was not a concert with a lot of running around, the crowd got very excited towards the end, when the band took one of their signature selfies with the crowd! Their second-to-last song really got everyone moving the most though, it was reminiscent of a mariachi medley of sorts.
